This is the menu that we used for our trek...

Food for each menu was divided and distributed to the families at the start of each day.  Snacks were carried on the handcart.

Thursday Menu

Breakfast- eat before arriving
Lunch: 3 – Bring your own sack lunch. Snacks: String Cheese and dried Fruit.
Dinner: Dutch-oven Potato Soup, Dutch oven biscuits, dried fruit
Camp set up / snack: dried fruit or jerky

Friday Menu

Breakfast: 2 Hot choc & 2 Oatmeal package
Lunch: Sandwich Bar (Ham Sandwich or PBJ) we were in town doing a service project during lunch so this suited our needs.
Dinner: 2 Dutch-ovens with Stew & Biscuits, dried fruit
Hoedown / Peach Cobbler in Dutch-oven

Saturday Menu

Breakfast: 2 Hot choc & 2 Oatmeal package

Lunch Feast: Dutch-oven Honey Glazed Ham, Dutch-oven Cowboy potatoes, biscuits in foil pan, watermelon


Notes:
       The bag of dehydrated fruit is to be eaten mainly with meals and as you want.
       The 1lb bag of jerky to be eaten mainly on the trail and as you want.
       Wheat Chewing Gum. Each family has a bag of wheat to eat along the trek. Read the instructions with the wheat.
       Use the honey on your biscuits but be sure to save ¾ cup for the ham.

       To obtain 350ºF in a Dutch-oven, put 10 coal underneath and 14 coals on top of the oven. Replace coals as they diminish to maintain temperature.
